Sketches 2 App Reviews

I just hit the Undo button a few too many times and have erased a few frames of the tutorial. Why cant have you have the thumbtack give the option to either "save as is" or "revert to original"... Even your most esteemed competition which issues a FREE app has that feature. Plus I bought both versions of Sketches, am a little disappointed at the price point... Should be an upgrade instead of a whole new app, WITH A PRICE THAT REFLECTS THAT! Version one of Sketches is getting flushed off of my iPhone.

This is one of my favourite apps. Makes it really easy to snap a photo and add a quick word bubble or mustache to someone, or to circle, highlight, or point out a detail before sending it off to Twitter. Great stamps and a really slick interface make this one worth the price. A word of warning though: as soon as you delete a photo or undo an edit there is no way to recover it, and there is no warning before its scrapped.

Con: -Price is a little steep. -Those who bought Sketches (1) have to pay full price for this one. Pros: -By far the best drawing/sketching/painting app in the AppStore. -UI is *very* polished and Apple-esque. -Controls are fantastic -Features like maps integration are pretty neat. -iPad AND iPhone version in the same App. -Bug-free, fast loading etc. If youre looking for an app of this genre, this is it. EDIT: You know, it really would be nice if you could send picture directly to MMS (instead of saving photo to photo album, then sending it in the message.app)

I have now both sketches and sketches 2, & use both daily. I love this new app because its got a lot more features than the original one, & still really simple and easy to use. Its great to add little texts and captions to my pictures. I definitely recommend this app and have been to all my friends! Two thumbs way up!! 

This is really Sketches 1.1. It has the same boring icons, no new categories worth using. They removed the resize button and the bottom menu screen stays open obstructing the photo when applying a prop such as a party hat, basketball, or t-shirt. The resizing with 2 fingers is pointless, its not worth it at all. Just stick with the original, nothing groundbreaking. Save your 2 bucks for something else.

I jumped right in like a loyal pre-app store fan (this was the best, fun, early application), but you cant write more than a couple words in the text box, which is kind of a bug. And it would be good to have a smudge tool, as long as youve added brush types. The interface looks nice, but it now takes a fair amount of manipulation to change tools, or even just color, brush size and transparency. But the preview effect to see what color and size is excellent. For $2.00, theres nothing to complain about here, however.

Great improvements. Only wish is that the drawing action was a little smoother. Curves get "angly" when drawing too fast.

Could not load a new page. Tools persist even when you try to read the instruction page. Items that look like links are not. Need to add a pen feature that would allow real notes by hand that would convert to text

When I draw or write in this app, I dont see curves, I see little straight lines linked together. seems like whatever tracks the motion of a finger on the pad doesnt interpret curved motion well. This needs to be worked on, since its a deal breaker. it makes writing notes a mess. Maybe it has to do with how fast the path is sampled. Other apps seem to be able to handle it far better than this one. That said, if they fix that problem, this app could be a gem. The integration of photos, backgrounds, type, shapes, colors, and brushes, etc, is lots of fun. Right now, though, Im sorry I bought it and I cant recommend that anyone else buy it, until that feature/problem is fixed.

Dont be fooled by the screenshots...this app does NOT draw smooth lines. Its slow, unresponsive, and laggy as well. If it were .99 itd be ok, but at $5 I want my $$ back.

This is the most versitile drawing app I have found yet. My only complaint is when resizing an object. Its difficult to make slight adjustments without the object rotating or resizing and its hard to get anything smaller than the size when your fingers touch.

After reading about many drawing apps I decided to go with Sketches2. It was well worth the 5$. I am one of those nerdy gamers that still does table top gaming and this app is amazing for drawling dungeons or whatever else your heart desires. The export function makes it insanely easy to print out your stuff whenever is convenient. The zoom and draw is also very useful for those like me that have a hard enough time with stick figures but still want decent pictures. My only recomendantion is to buy a stylus like the DS one and youll be in heaven. Definitely a must have app!

Please support Korean characters!!!!!! You have to update it!!

Fun. Easy to use.

This app is indispensable because it is very functional as a utility but also a whole lot of fun to use and an overall showcase to what the iPhone is capable of, and so complimentory to the high quality graphics that Apple packages with them by default. Sketche lives up to the iPhone graphical standards and, like many apps, is one of those fun things you can show off to your friends while being completely useful as well. It is not so common to have both usefulness and novelty packed into one. Beyond the awesomeness of the app, as an owner of Sketches I, I had dealt with the developer and he was nothing but pleasant and helpful. There is alwas reason to support a developer like him, and you can bet he does a fantastic job at making great software. Thanks for this awesome app. Highly recommended for a lot of reasons!

See, the tutorial things I kinda deleted, so I dont remember how to do a few things. The tutorial should be either undeletable or in a diferrent area.
